Artists in Residence
One of the strong points of the Arsenal restauration programme in Daugavpils, Latvia - way back in 2005 - was the institution of an artists in residence project. It was going to interact with the local population, to foster the opportunities of teaching and experimenting art, and of acquiring new artefacts.
Last not least in a very long line of similar experiences - the Design Museum of London lauches its new programme with a 20 February 2012 deadline, described elsewhere in this page - comes Rome’s MACRO.
A series of four artists will be residing at the museum for five to six months each. The first one - Londoner Graham Hudson - just settled in the other day.
