That Bob Dylan quote…
…came from an interview in the 60s after he was just booed for using an electric guitar.
The 60s.
I have no idea what Bob Dylan thinks about museums today.
Nor do I, but the point of interest still stands. If people are reblogging it, then obviously they feel it rings true today, regardless of whether or not Bob Dylan still agrees with that statement. It’s entirely possible they could just be arguing the music portion of the quote, but either way, I found it interesting.
I feel like there’s a pretty big misconception in the public that Museums are meant for some sort of “Elite” group only, and I personally feel that not only is this not the case, but as a Museo, I should ensure that people start feeling like it isn’t true as well. I think it’s easily to forget about how people outside look inwards, and how many people write off Museums as “elitist” especially given America’s anti-intellectualism culture.
